ANNONA SQUAMOSA LEAF EXTRACT INHIBITS THE MIGRATION OF HUMAN CERVICAL CANCER CELLS THROUGH MMP-9 EXPRESSION

To determine the effect of giving a combination Annona squamosa leaf extract and cisplatin on matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression inhibition cell migration in HeLa cells. The sample this study was divided into 6 groups: group 1 as control group, 2 single (Cis) 3-5 different combinations with ASL 12.5, 25 mg/mL, 50 mg/mL respectively, 75 group. This research included cytotoxicity test MTT assay MMP-9 using immunofluorescence method scratch wound healing assay. In study, decreased significantly + Cis. activity increased 12.5+Cis 25+Cis inhibited migration. more effective than dose Cis or alone (p < 0.05). novelty can be used for combined cervical cancer therapy. an active ingredient acetogenin induce reduce Acetogenins are also found bark, seed, fruit extracts; however, material from leaves is easier to obtain process.
